About Nashville's Concrete

Nashville's Concrete is a concrete contractor serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.

A concrete job is judged in five years, not five days, and the difference is what went under and into the slab. Our crews prepare the base, use the right mix and steel, cut the control joints on time, and put every one of those in the quote.

What we do

  • Compact the base. Gravel base compacted in lifts over clay that has been cut and stabilized, not a slab poured on whatever was there.
  • Place the steel. Rebar or mesh on chairs, in the middle of the slab where it works, not lying on the ground where it does nothing.
  • Cut the joints on time. Control joints cut within the first day so the slab cracks where it was told to.

What we will not do

  • Pour over clay. Middle Tennessee clay heaves; a slab without a base follows it.
  • Water down the mix. Adding water on site makes it easy to place and weak for life.
  • Skip the expansion joints. Concrete against the house without a joint pushes on the foundation every summer.

What we actually work on

Flatwork and sidewalk installation, plus polyjacking for slabs that have already settled.

The concrete problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:

  • Driveway cracked and breaking up
  • Trip edge where slabs have settled
  • Water runs toward the house
  • Surface flaking after winters
  • No sidewalk from the drive to the door
  • Garage slab pitted or cracked
  • Sunken or uneven concrete slab
  • A tripping edge where two slabs meet

Who does the work

Every concrete crew we run carries liability insurance on file with us and holds the Tennessee contractor’s license the job value requires; the crews have poured on this clay before, on jobs we can name.

Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a concrete job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The concrete contractors who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.

Why we do not publish reviews yet

No stars and no borrowed testimonials on this site yet; a concrete company this new would be inventing them, and a driveway is something you can judge for yourself in a few winters.

Where we work

Concrete crews pouring in Nashville also work Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville; the range runs to 65 towns in 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for concrete, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.

If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our concrete guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any concrete contractor in the region, including us.

Who we are

Michael Blair is the owner of Nashville's Concrete, manages it day to day, and is the one responsible for what this site says. Its pages rest on the manufacturers’ own documentation, Tennessee code and how the concrete trade does the work, with edits whenever those change; the posts list him as author along with a date. The crews who pour are licensed, carry insurance and owe you every commitment listed here, and Nashville's Concrete answers for every slab they leave behind.

You can check us, or anyone pouring for you, in three places: verify.tn.gov for a Tennessee contractor’s license, the certificate of insurance you are entitled to see before the forms go down, and the local permit office, named on the page for your town.
